When downloading files from the internet, it’s very important to verify that the file you downloaded is correct, which means the downloaded files has not been modified by others.
Authors of software typically gives the “checksum” based on the contents, you could calculate the checksum on the downloaded file and compare the hash code to the previously provided one. If they don’t match, then you should NOT use the downloaded file since the file is damaged.
EagleGet has the ability to verify integrity of downloaded files. Please follow the steps listed below.
1. Click on the down triangle icon on Add Download dialog.
2. Switch to “Integrity” tab, tick the checkbox and then enter the corresponding data.
3. You will receive the result of verification once the download is complete.
